The Kwara State Government has congratulated the newly elected Executive Members of the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS).
The congratulatory message was conveyed to the Association today through the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Senior Ibrahim Sulyman Esq, when the new Exeutive Members of NAKSS paid him a familiarization visit in his office in Ilorin.
Sulyman, who disclosed that the State Government was highly impressed with the composition of the new set of the Students Executive body, urged them to work as a team in order to take the National headquarters of NAKSS to the next level.
The Commissioner encouraged the Students body to take advantage of the technological advancement to enhance its status as a progressive body, by empowering and uniting its members in all NAKSS chapters across the country.
He advised them to be steadfast and committed in the course of their assignment and selfless service to Kwara Students irrespective of wherever they are studying.
Sulyman further advised the new NAKSS Executive not to hesitate to call on the State Government whenever necessary and assured them of government support in the discharge of their assignment.
Earlier in his remarks, the Association’s President elect, Abdullahi Abdulkadir commended the State Government for its untiring support at the just concluded NAKSS National Convention that brought the new Executive on board.
The President elect sought government’s assistance in mobilising Students delegates back to their respective institutions across the country.
Also speaking, the Senate President elect, Hassan Muhammed Hawal urged the Commissioner to use his good offices to facilitate a robust renumeration from government to aid the smooth transition of the newly elected Executive Members.
Hawal assured the State Government that they would be well conducted and remain good Ambassadors of the State throughout their stay in office.
