Mai NASARA Education Support Foundation launches Scholarship Program, Supports Orphaned, Less Privileged

The Mai NASARA Education Support Foundation officially launched its scholarship program, awarding scholarships to orphaned and less privileged students in Kaiama Local Government’s Area. The event, marked by tears of joy and gratitude, took place at the Local Government Education & Social Welfare Department, Kaiama.

The Founder of the Mai NASARA Education Support Foundation, Hon. Ahmad Muhammad, emphasized the foundation’s mission to complement the efforts of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in making education accessible and comfortable for the less privileged. “We are completing the efforts of the Executive Governor of Kwara State to make education easy and comfortable for the less privileged,” Hon. Muhammad stated.

The occasion was graced by prominent dignitaries, including the Emirate Council led by the Waziri of Kaiama, Alhaji Adamu Gene; the Local Government Legislative Council led by Speaker Rt. Engr. Abdulkabir Haliru; HOD Education Hajia Aisha Mohammed; and NULGE Chairman Hon. Shuaibu Haliru. Also in attendance were Education Secretary Mallam Mohammad Abdulkareem, former NUT Chairman Hon. Alhaji Abubakar Musa Shamaki, PTA Chairman Alhaji Usman Jimoh, the Shantali of Kaiama, school principals, parents of beneficiaries, and representatives from the DSS and NCDC.

The scholarship initiative is designed to provide financial support for academic needs, thereby fostering educational growth, community service, and empowerment among the youth. It also reflects the foundation’s unwavering commitment to bridging the gap in access to education for vulnerable groups within the community.

Hon. Ahmad Muhammad expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Governor for his support and to the Executive Chairman of Kaiama Local Government for his collaboration in making the program a success.
