A Business Mogul and Social Democratic Party (SDP) Kwara North Senatorial candidate in 2023 general elections, Alhaji Adamu Attahiru Manko has officially Joined the ruling party All Progressive Party (APC) in Kwara State

Manko gave this hint on Tuesday while hosting Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) to media parley at his Ilorin Residence.

The Patigi born Politician who recently returned to All Progressives Congress (APC) reiterated his commitment and support for zoning of governorship seat to Kwara North come 2027.

His words: “I am in support of agitation for zoning of governorship seat to Kwara North ahead 2027 general elections. I believe it’s time for our zone to produce governor. Kwara Central has spent 18 years with Lawal, Saraki and His Excellency, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. Kwara South has also used eight years.

For the sake of justice and fairness, Kwara North should produce the next governor of the state.

“We understand that politics is a game of numbers.

We appealing to other zones to support this agitation for sake of justice and fairness.

We will continue to lobby, appeal and engage critical stakeholders in the party to support Kwara North Agenda.

“We have competent personalities such as Senator Sadiq Umar, Kwara Assembly Speaker, Yakubu Salihu-Danladi and others have shown interest to contest. We will unite to make it come 2027.”

Speaking on his defection, Manko said he will be contesting for Kwara North Senatorial district election again.

“There is nothing bad is moving to APC which I consider my home to actualize my Senatorial ambition.

My father is a progressive minded politician. He has been on the stage for over 40 years. My people supported me in 2023 and ask us to return home.

I believe All Progressives Congress is the right party.

The ideology aligns with my progressive philosophy. What happened in 2027 was a child of necessity. I am back home now” Manko explained.

While assessing performance of government, Manko applauded President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for making implementing people-focused policies, programmes and projects.
