As the celebration of the International Worker’s Day today accross world, the Broiler Farmers Network celebrate with critical member and hardworking members for making the broiler farming progress.

In a statement released and signed by the  General Secretary of the Association Comr. Ajayi Ayotomiwa, The statement read in full “As we celebrate the International Workers’ Day, it is with great pleasure that I congratulate all the hardworking broiler farmers in Kwara State and Nigeria at large. Your contribution to the economy of our dear country cannot be overemphasized.

As we are all aware, broiler farming is a crucial aspect of the agricultural sector in Nigeria. It is a source of employment for thousands of people and provides a vital source of protein for our population. Therefore, it is essential that we continue to promote best practices in the broiler production sector to ensure that our products are of high quality and safe for human consumption.

I want to commend Comr. Kolade Michael Olatayo, President of the Broiler Farmers Network and other Executives for their outstanding leadership in promoting the interests of broiler farmers in Kwara State and Nigeria at large. Their efforts towards ensuring that the sector is standardized and regulated cannot be overemphasized.

As we celebrate this day, I urge all broiler farmers to continue to adhere to best practices in their farming practices. This includes ensuring the use of quality feeds, proper vaccination of the birds, ensuring withdrawal period before slaughtering and good hygiene practices in the farms. We must also ensure that our products meet the required standards and regulations set by relevant authorities in the country.

It is important that we work together to ensure that the broiler production sector in Nigeria continues to grow and contribute significantly to the economy of the country. Let us continue to promote the use of modern technologies, efficient production methods, and best practices to ensure that we deliver high-quality broilers to the market.

Once again, I congratulate all broiler farmers in Kwara State and Nigeria at large on this special day. Let us continue to work together to provide a quality source of protein for our population while ensuring that the broiler production sector in Nigeria continues to thrive.”
