NGSA Director, Bature Acknowledges Tinubu’s Role in Boosting Solid Minerals, Steel Development

The Director of the Economic Geology Department at the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA), Mr. Umar Bature, highlighted the significant role played by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in energizing the sectors of solid minerals and steel development in Nigeria.

Mr. Bature credited Tinubu for fostering an environment that attracts investors to these crucial areas, contributing to their growth and development.

 

Mr Umar Bature disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the ongoing 5th National Council on Mining and Mineral Resources Development (NCMMRD) meeting at Banquet Hall, Ilorin.

According to him, There are nations that have just one community. Morocco is a good example. We have a lot of mineral resources. Oil boom lead to neglect of the sector. The past and present administrations have done a lot to improve the sector. We (Experts) at Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) are receiving requests for data from investors. Investors are coming into the sector due to attention government is giving to Mining Sector.

He described the National Council on Mining and Mineral Resources Development meeting at gathering of
Experts, Academics, Operators and Mining Industry owners to discuss ways to move the mining sector forward in Nigeria.

Bature applauded President Bola Tinubu for energizing Solid Minerals and Steel Development with provision of necessary supports.

 

The NGSA Director expressed optimism that the communique and recommendations by delegates would be considered by Federal Government, States and other stakeholders.
