••• Good performance doesn’t determine promotion only but God’s time – AG Bello
The Nigeria Customs Service had on Thursday 12 January 2023 promoted officers in one of their branches located in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
It was contained in a speech made by Campt AG Bello, the Customs Area Controller, Kwara State Command that 20 officers were commissioned.
Campt AG Bello further glorifies the Almighty God for what HE has done and continues to do and congratulates all newly promoted officers, adding wishes for them more in the future.
“The newly promoted officers that were commissioned today should be addendum in their performances because their previous position is different from the just given ones”, he advised.
He further said while urging those who were not promoted to take heart, saying promotion is a continuous process and they should not relent in performing excellently, added stated that “if you look up to those you feel have gone ahead of you, have you reflected on those you have left behind”.
“Promotion is not a right but a privilege. Your performances only do not determine promotion but God’s time with tremendous performance determines and when it is exactly God’s time no one can stop you from getting it”, he said.
While one of the commissioned officers was delivering the vote of thanks said “on behalf of the newly promoted officers and Men of Kwara Area Command, appreciated the Compt AG Bello, the Customs Area Controller and Compt Olugboyega Peters, the Joint Border Patrol Team Sector 3 for taking out of their busy schedules to be part of the history”
He further pledged on behalf of other officers that they will work assiduously in elevating the department, added seeks Almighty God’s guidance and protection in the work.
