With the current situation of the country raging from security to economy, many Nigerians have been facing different challenges affecting their lives and well-being. A number of people couldn’t afford a daily meals due to the increasing price of foods and goods and different measures are taking by both Federal and State Governments to mitigate this hardship. Notwithstanding, some legislatures representing different constituency have also been doing the little they could afford.

In Kwara State, why the state government is doing hers, the Honourable member representing the good people of Ilorin East and South is also doing wonders to support 500 constituents from this constituency. With the support of a committee, Hon. Aluko has entrusted the committee the power to select 20 most affected individuals from the 23 wards constituting the Ilorin East and South constituency with additional 40 individuals with special care.

However, it’s important to note that this Honorable member via is Facebook page 6 days ago announces the disbursement of #5000 cash to each of the selected constituent totaling #2.7 million.

The decision is very timely, but it’s worthy to note that in one of the press on this Honourable Facebook page he claimed most of this people are small enterprise running a business of #5,000 to #10,000 and here the question begins.

Honourable, sir. I hope you are aware that this your palliative will end in the pocket rather than the business. Running a business with #5000 doesn’t look promising in this current economic situation, you would have done something more commendable by amplify the amount to something worthy of progressing this people as a small enterprise.

Maybe you would have empower your constituents with different equipment such as refrigerator, clipper, motorbike, grinding machine or better still empower the youths with a skills worthy of growth. The world is now in the digital eta and agriculture is coming back to light and training youths with digital and agricultural skills will be of a great idea.

There are different area of specialization in the digital space ranging from web development, graphics design to cyber security and same applicable to the agricultural sector ranging from snail farming, crop plantation, seedlings, to fishing.

Sir, I believe your next program for the good members of Ilorin East and South constituency will be so impactful than the present and I wish you best in office as you journey through the responsibility of leadership.
