Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak of Kwara State recently appoints Hon. Lekan Gadaff as Special Assistant on Youth Empowerment. This, to me, is a smart move ever taking by the present administration.
Gadaff hails from Ilaoja ward, Asa Local Government in Kwara State. The ward known to be one of the largest in the state that gives very high votes during general elections. So, appointing someone from such powerful and meaningful local government is never a mistake.

Knowingly or unknowingly, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state have many times exposed some of its members to opposition parties and by implication, the party is going down to its knees. However, this application will serve as a cause for those remaining in the party to be optimised and those that have left to make a U-turn.

To borrow from Umar Belko’s words: “Gadaff is an asset, a philanthropist, who empowers people without government interventions and who hails from a recognised Local government in the state”. These may serve as reasons for his sharp recognition by the present administration.

In conclusion, there is no doubt that Gadaff’s appointment will bring the party (APC) up from its knees and stand firm in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
