The Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade has said that the old system of Oyun Water Works Supplying potable water to Ajase-Ipo would be revisited to supply water to the community.

Hon. Lade observed during his assessment visit to the community and Oyun Water Works in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara state.

Lade said that this has become necessary for the fact that the only borehole supplying the community with water is grossly inadequate.

He directed the Zonal Engineer in charge of the area to furnish his office with the details requirement that is necessary to fix the facility.

Earlier, the Zonal Engineer of the Water Works, Engr. Abdulhamid Alao intimated the Commissioner of the challenges militating against the plants.

He explained that as soon as the right equipment is procured and fixed the Water Works will come into full operation and it is capable of supplying Ajese-Ipo, Oyun, and other communities.
