On February 5th, the Progressive Youth Ambassadors organized an impactful youth summit in celebration of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s 64th birthday at the NUJ Hall in Ilorin.
The event commenced with an opening remark from Dr. Solahudeen Funsho Abdulrazaq, expressing gratitude for the attendees’ support of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. Dr. Solahudeen praised the initiative of the Progressive Youth Ambassadors in fostering intellectual discussions and seminars among the youth.
Encouraging the youth present, Dr. Solahudeen emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities through preparation. He motivated them, saying, “The sky is not your limit; it’s your starting point.”
Ambassador Abdullateef Olalekan Dhikrullah, the Convener of PYA, extended warm birthday wishes to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, recognizing his significance to Kwarans, especially the youth. Dhikrullah commended the Governor for promoting youth inclusiveness and empowering them through key government positions and initiatives like the Kwara State Social Investment Programme.
He announced PYA’s commitment to unveiling programs dedicated to advancing the success of Kwara’s youth, aligning with Governor Abdulrazaq’s vision for growth and prosperity.
The summit featured a panel session moderated by Basheer Lukman Olarewaju, with panelists including Special Advisers to the Kwara State Governor on Drugs Hon. Aileru Olamilekan, Special Assistant to Kwara Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Prince Abdullateef Adebara, among others.
Among the dignitaries present were the Representative of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Hon. Musa Nafisat Buge, the Honorable Commissioner for Youth Development, and several others including Hon. Baba Saidu representing the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Shittu Rukayat Motunrayo, Commissioners for Water Resources, Hon Yunusa Usman Lade, Solid Minerals, Hon Abdulqowiyu Olododo, Energy, Hon. Abdulazeez Abdulganiy, Environment, Hon. Usman Ndanusa, and the TIC chairman of Isin Local Government, Hon. Tunde Fadipe, among others.
