The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf hosted All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders and stakeholders to a special Tafsir and Iftar at the residence of the Kwara State Deputy Governor in Ilorin.
The Iftar was organized to unify and foster peace among Elders and Stakeholders in Ifelodun Local Government in the month of Ramadan.
The Guest Speaker, Sheikh Nurain Abbas, advised political officeholders to remain committed to existing peace and unity in the local government, adding that it is the only way to achieve progress and ensure continuous stability in all sectors of development in Ifelodun Local Government.
In his speech, the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Elder Kayode Alabi, called for continuous support for the leadership of Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf as Chairman.
He appreciated the Chairman’s efforts in uniting Elders, political officeholders, women, and youths to foster progress in the local government.
On his part, the Chairman, while emphasizing his commitment to bringing people together, stated that the gathering was meant to seek forgiveness and pray for the progress of governance in the local government, especially during this special time of Ramadan.
“This is a time to create special love in this month of Ramadan, to pray intentionally for progress and upliftment, and to gain strength and prosperity that will place our beloved local government at the top,” he said.
