••• items are distributed in honor of former Governor Alabi Lawal
In the spirit of Ramadan, an independent, soft-spoken, and dedicated philanthropist, Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, has rounded off the distribution of Ramadan packages across the 193 wards in Kwara state.
HOL Kwara which monitored the distribution said that the Ramadan package was meant to serve as relief for the Muslim faithfuls, due to the biting nature of the Nigerian economy, and was distributed in memory of former Governor Alabi Lawal.
It showered encomium on Lawal and urged other well-to-do Kwarans to emulate his act of philanthropy, as when kind little acts such as this are combined, it becomes great acts of benevolence.
The Ramadan package includes bags of rice, bags of Semovita, cartons of sugar, and trays of milk, and was distributed to orphans, widows, clerics, political associates, and SDP party faithfuls. Others also got cash reliefs.
