Alhaji Salmon Babatunde Salmon, the Chairman of the fast-growing SBS 96.9 FM, Ilorin, has officially unveiled the jersey for the highly anticipated Play With Kwara Youth (PWKY) 5.0 edition, signaling a strong corporate commitment to youth empowerment.
The unveiling took place in the Chairman’s office during an engagement with members of the organizing committee.
Alhaji Salmon lauds the organizers for their profound commitment to enhancing quality communal efforts, fostering peaceful coexistence, and developing productive leadership skills, especially amongst young people.
Demonstrating his personal dedication to the initiative, the SBS FM Boss pledged his full support for the fifth edition. Furthermore, he embraced his role as one of the coaches for the competition, promising to bring his full “gaffer skills” to the touchline to inspire and mentor the participating teams.
In his remarks, the Spokesperson for the PWKY, Basheer Luqman Olarewaju, offered deep appreciation for the Chairman’s visionary virtues. Basheer particularly acknowledged Alhaji Salmon’s foresight in establishing a community-focused radio station dedicated to grassroots development.
He concluded by enjoining the SBS boss to leverage his extensive network and goodwill to draw more support and patronage for the PWKY initiative, ensuring its continued success in uniting Kwara youth through sports.
