The Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial district, Senator Oyelola Ashiru has launched empowerment opportunities for farmers in the district.

This empowerment will provide every farmer in the district with the opportunity to obtain essential agricultural farming equipment to improve soil fertility.

The Lawmaker inline with his vision to build a self-reliant and sustainable district through agriculture has made all necessary plan to flag off distribution of multi-million naira worth of agricultural palliatives to all eligible farmers in the Kwara South district.

The prompt intervention by the Distinguished Senator aims to enhance the production of farm goods, leading to a decrease in economic struggles related to the availability and cost of agricultural products in the district.

The Senator stated that the flag off exercise will involve the distribution of fertilizers, urea, pesticides, and herbicides to all verified farmers in the Kwara South district.

He added that Hunters, Famers’ Associations and individuals that are into farming will also be part of the beneficiaries.

The Deputy Senate Leader noted that all agricultural relief packages have been distributed to every Local Government within the district while disclosing that the official distribution will commence tomorrow, on April 5, 2024.

Senator Ashiru restates that every constituent will benefit from the dividends of democracy, guaranteeing his dedication to enhancing the district through economic progress, development initiatives, and enhanced security.
