The All Progressives Congress Candidate for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya, has commiserated with the family and members of APC in Adewole ward over the demise of the ward chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Bello who passed on Wednesday.
In a message issued by his media office, Shagaya described him as a doyen of contemporary politician, dedicated leader and a bridge-builder who has lived in the state fostering unity and asked the bereaved and Adewole people, especially His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to take heart over the loss of the late elder statesman.
The statement read in part, “I’m deeply saddened by the passing of elder-statesman, pro-democracy leader and progressive politician, Alhaji Yusuf Bello, the All Progressives Congress Chairman, Adewole Ward. His contributions to democracy and good governance have been considerable and will preserve the name of Alhaji Bello in the history of our state.
I commiserate with his family and friends. I commiserate with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the people of Adewole, Ilorin West Local Government and indeed Kwara State. We have all lost an excellent man and a superlative political leader. I pray that Allah grant him Aljanat Firdaous. Amen”
