In a bid to strengthen the activities of the Kwara State Government, the Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor, Hon. Abubakar Lagbe Sulayman, paid a visit to one of the state’s strong elder statesmen, Barrister Kunle Suleiman.
The visit, which took place on this afternoon was aimed at seeking the support of the elder statesman towards the task ahead. During the meeting, Hon. Abubakar Sulayman Lagbe briefed Barrister Kunle Suleiman on the current state of affairs in the state and the various projects that the state government is undertaking which caused his appointment.
Hon. Abubakar Sulayman Lagbe also explained his role as the Special Assistant to the Governor and how he hopes to contribute to the growth and development of Kwara State. He further expressed his willingness to work closely with Barrister Suleiman and other stakeholders to ensure that the state government is able to achieve its goals.
In response, Barrister Suleiman thanked Hon. Sulayman for his visit and commended the Kwara State Government for its efforts towards the development of the state. He also expressed his support for the state government and assured Hon. Sulayman of his commitment to work with the government towards achieving its goals.
In the meeting between the Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor, Hon. Abubakar Lagbe Sulayman, and Barrister Kunle Suleiman, the duos not only discussed the task ahead for the state government but also their experiences and relationships with notable figures in Kwara State.
During the meeting, Barrister Suleiman, who is a well-respected elder statesman in Kwara State, spoke fondly of his relationship with the Prof. Oba Abdulraheem, a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and prominent politician in the state. He described Prof. Abdulraheem as a man who had the love of the Kwaran people in his heart and who dedicated his life to serving the people at whole.
Barrister Suleiman also shared his own experiences working with various leaders in Kwara State, including his involvement in grassroots politics and community development projects. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity in achieving development and progress in the state.
Hon. Abubakar Sulayman Lagbe expressed his appreciation for Barrister Kunle Suleiman’s insights and knowledge of the state, and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to working closely with stakeholders to ensure that the state’s development goals are met.
