The registrar Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) Surv. Kabir Mohammed fnis, along with the president of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors, Surv. Oluwamotemi David fnis, members of the council and the management of SURCON were today at Maiduguri the capital of Borno State, to pay a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Borno State, Prof. Umar Babagana Zulum.
The team which was received by the immediate past Surveyor-General and now SSA on Land Matters to the Borno State governor, Surv. Amsami Bukar
also inspected some of the ongoing projects whilst giving commendations to the State government for its remarkable strides in rebuilding the state to be home-for-all as well as pushing it to regain her lost glories necessitated by the insurgency.
The team which also visited the Borno State Geographical Information Service (BOGIS) headed by the Executive Secretary, Eng. Adam Bababe and the chairman, Surv. Bashir Shettima, appreciated the governor over the land allocated to SURCON for the construction of the North-East Zonal Office in Maiduguri the Borno State Capital.
The State government in its remark through the SSA Land Matters, Dr. Amsani Bukar commended the agency under the headship of the Registrar, Surv. Kabir Muhammed for the laudable jobs doing to sanitise the surveying profession through proper monitoring and regulations which has been of benefit to the Nation. The government also gives assurance of continuous collaborations with the agency in her projects so that efficiency and standard will not be compromised by those who are handling government projects.
