The members of the Kwara State Social Investment Board led by Hon. Oloyin Lateef Adebayo, today 11th of October 2021 paid a visit to the Kwara State Social Investment Programme office at Fate, Ilorin. Being the first visit of the members of the board since the appointment of the board by the Governor of Kwara State, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. The meeting was in a bid to familiarize the board with the management of KWASSIP and it’s projects, said the board chairman. Other members of the board are Hajia Mariam Yusuf Abdullahi, Moshood Alaka and Babalolola Adeniyi.
The management of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme led by the GM, Mohammed Brimah received the board and orientated them on the programs of KWASSIP which includes Owo Arugbo, Owo Isowo, Ounje Ofe and K-Power. He also shared with them some statistics on the impact of the administration of Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on the people of Kwara State through the Kwara State Social Investment Programmes.
Mall Mohammed Brimah also took the members of the Board on a tour around the offices of the social investment agency. And at the Command Centre, he explained the step by step process of the programs of KWASSIP, from enrollment through the back end down to disbursement.
During the meeting, they also discussed the Kwara NG-Cares for MSMEs program. The program was brought about in a bid to ameliorate the economic hardship caused by the outbreak of Covid-19. The program hopes to provide MSMEs with Grants targeted at repaying loans, providing IT support, and help with operational grants.
The committee commended the management of KWASSIP for their work done so far and encouraged them to keep up the good work while they also appreciated the efforts of his Excellency, the Governor of Kwara State, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for seeing his promise through in ensuring the actualisation of KWASSIP for the benefit of all kwarans on the basis of equity, fairness and justice.
