No fewer than three persons lost their lives in a fatal road accident that occurred on the Akure-Owo Expressway, Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Sunday morning.

In the accident, which involved a Toyota Sienna bus and an 18-passenger bus, it was gathered that 12 people were also injured.

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Ezekiel SonAllah, confirmed the incident. He said the crash was caused by wrongful overtaking and speed violation on the part of the drivers involved.
