Yesterday, the Adult and Primary Education Association (APESA) of Unilorin orchestrated a captivating and enlightening public lecture to pay tribute to the esteemed Hon. Kayode Oyin Zubair, the former SSA on Community Intervention. The event unfolded in the prestigious Education Lecture Theatre (EDLT) of the esteemed Faculty of Education, Unilorin, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.

Leading up to the main event, a select group of talented students underwent an intensive training program, honing their skills in various disciplines. This empowering initiative aimed to equip them with practical know-how that could serve as a pathway to financial independence and prosperity.

The grand program not only served as a platform to showcase the remarkable skills and talents of these budding stars but also featured a thought-provoking public lecture on strategies to eradicate poverty. The atmosphere was electric as Dr. Lawal Olohungbe, a distinguished guest lecturer, engaged the audience in stimulating discussions on poverty alleviation, inspiring them to transcend their current circumstances and break free from the shackles of deprivation.

The gathering was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries and distinguished awardees, including Prof. Wahab Egbewole; Vice Chancellor University of Ilorin, Prof. T.T. Ambali; Esteemed wife of the former VC of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Mrs. EK Ola Alani; HOD Department of Adult and Primary Education among others, adding an air of prestige and significance to the occasion.
