Get more connected to the real facts

The management of the University of Ilorin has categorically disowned the list of purported fake professors circulating on social media.

Despite the National Universities Commission (NUC) distancing itself from the list initially surfaced in December 2019, the University of Ilorin felt it necessary to clarify that none of the 11 individuals listed as professors from their institution has ever been part of their staff or had any dealings with them.

In a press statement, Kunle Akogun, the Director of Corporate Affairs at UNILORIN, emphasized the university’s commitment to high integrity and strict adherence to global best practices, especially concerning staff promotions. The university considers the trending report as an attempt by purveyors of fake news and mischief-makers, urging stakeholders to ignore such misinformation.

This clarification aims to assure stakeholders that the University of Ilorin remains steadfast in maintaining its reputable standards and will not compromise its commitment to excellence.
