Ilorin East and South Constituency Youth stakeholders have massively come out and debunked the press statement written against the Youth stakeholders claiming they intentionally want to segregate Ilorin Emirate Unity for Political reasons.

The press statement written against Ilorin East and South Youth Stakeholders was signed by Mallam Ahmad Durosinlohun, the Secretary of Ilorin Emirate Unity Group.

Mallam Usman Muhammed Kawu Kano, the Youth Stakeholder’s Secretary referred to the press statement released a few days ago and clarified that “it was a pleading letter we wrote to the State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq urging him to zone Kwara Central Senatorial seat to Ilorin East and South Constituency in 2023 adding that it is so saddening and bad for the so-called Ilorin Emirate Unity Group to have written such press statement that against our demands and agitation from State Governor.

“It is never for once in our minds to disturb the peace of Ilorin or to cause commotion in the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) saying we all deserve the equal right and we are all working for the success of All Progressives Congress (APC) and the development of Ilorin and Kwara State at large”. He said.

He once again made it clear that we are agitating for our right to zone the Kwara Central Senatorial seat to Ilorin East and South Constituency because ever since 1979 till date, only Ilorin west has been holding and enjoying the position adding that we also deserve to taste the position.

Therefore, our agitation continues because we are currently making consultation with the stakeholders and elders across the whole Ilorin Emirates

So, we call on our beloved brothers in Kwara Central consisting of Asa, Ilorin West, East, and South not to follow or accept the misinformation press released by the Ilorin Emirate Unity Group that we are agitating to divide Ilorin.
