“We will ensure that 2023 general elections are conducted smoothly and hitch-free after which Tinubu will emerge as the next President of Nigeria and all other candidates listed above”
The press reads;
On this note, we are also calling on the well meaning Kwarans to disregard the purported lies spread across the country by opposition that the change of currency is planned to create hardship in the country.
“As responsible citizens who believe in economic prosperity of our country, it will be counterproductive if we oppose a monetary policy made by financial institution of the country, hence, our groups stand for any policy that doesn’t contradict the laws of the land, we will ensure that agents of lies don’t triumph over well-meaning of Kwarans who are with us in this journey.
We are calling on the security agencies, party stalwarts, and comrades to be vigilant/watch out for more unscrupulous elements who are hellbent on causing disharmony by trying to overheat the political space using a fake identity, fake information, and fake address as election draws nearer. The fulcrum of our campaigns was and is still the consolidation of good governance and accountability which governor AA and other candidates have envisaged to our dear state. We have consistently preached against voters coercion, We have voiced our stand against votes buying, voters intimidation, and politicisation.”
We further assured our followers and admirers that we shall not abandon our campaign promises even as we engaged all stakeholders on the way forward to ensure the progress of Kwara State.
We are using this medium to commend Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, is a man of history and destiny. His private and public life have always been that of serving God and humanity which keep him going in his life journey, business, politics and governance. His developmental strides, bold initiative which we described him as IJOBA MEKU NU and all his projects spread across the state and urged other elective representatives to emulate his footsteps. We declared support for Gov, AA’s re-election in 2023. As our mentor and the best thing that has ever happened to Kwara state. Whenever Governor AA is given a little responsibility he translates it into achievements and makes a new history beyond imagination that leaves one agape.
These attributes, among other humane dispositions, make him an attractive bride to CKAYS and the people of Kwara state who saw the need to bring him as their governor in 2019 at a time all hopes were lost. We succeeded to send his predecessor to the dustbin of history and ending 16 years of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) misgovernance, thereby creating a new history and record in the politics and governance of the state.
Amongst them are;
To increase the quality of education in the state, the governor has recruited 4,701 qualified and competent teachers into the public primary, junior and senior secondary schools in the state. With the grants from UBEC now in the state coffers, about 600 basic schools got facelifts.
Also, the private school owners have tasted his developmental efforts in the sector. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Proprietors of 1,119 privately owned schools in the state were given soft loans to help cushion the effects of the pandemic due to the shutdown.
Moreso, since AbdulRazaq assumed office, urban and rural road infrastructure has continued to receive attention. The largest road reconstruction and rehabilitation projects across the nooks and crannies of the state were embarked on through his rural-urban renewal initiative project to bridge the wide infrastructure in rural communities across the state and boost economic growth and development.
The administration has fixed over 100 rural and urban roads/culverts/bridges. Many agrarian communities are now getting standard roads, while those hitherto cut off from civilisation are being linked. About 500 rural roads are fixed under the World Bank-enabled Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) arrangement for which the administration had earlier paid counterpart funds. These road projects are spread across the three Senatorial districts, deliberately linking agrarian areas to the urban centres.
Some of these road projects have either been completed or nearing completion as of today. The projects include the Construction and repair of a box culvert at Pampo Town, Asa Local Government Area; the construction of 1.1km Market Junction, Emir’s Palace Road, Gwanara; the construction of 33km Ilesha Baruba, Gwanara Road, Baruten (completed), construction of 87km Kaiama Kosubosu Rural Road Reconstruction, Baruten/Kaiama (ongoing); construction of 1.5km Secretariat Road, Lafiagi, Edu; Construction of 1.5km Tsaragi Market -Batakpan Box Culvert, Edu.
Others are the Construction of 3.5km Osi Township road (3.5km), Ekiti; the construction of 2.3km Oro Ago – Oyate Road, Ifelodun; rehabilitation of 1.7k. CAC, Ogere, Babanloma road, Ifelodun; construction of Oriza bridge – Oro-Ago, Ifelodun; rehabilitation of 1.2km Zango Akerebiata Road, Ilorin East; construction of 2km Sobi Specialist Hospital Road, Gaa Osibi – Medina (2km), Ilorin East; construction of 1.3km Awolowo- Danialu Road, Ilorin South, among several other ongoing projects.
Also, a massive anti-open defecation campaign, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), worth N500 million had been funded with the bond to complement some existing initiatives that recently won Kwara State a pledge of 1000 pour-flush toilets from the private sector stakeholders.
Finally, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is redefining leadership and Governance in Kwara State in an unprecedented manner. Therefore his second term bid is our concern to get back to basics in our respective communities.
