The management of Global Watch Magazine on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Youth Development, Mohammed Funsho Abdullahi, in Abuja, where he was presented with an Excellence Award in recognition of his contributions to national development.
Speaking during the presentation, the Publisher of the magazine said the honour was not about position or privilege, but a recognition of impact, integrity, and consistency of purpose.
He quoted Thomas Carlyle’s words that “no great man lives in vain; the history of the world is the biography of great men,” adding that every era celebrates those who quietly serve humanity without seeking applause.
In his response, Abdullahi expressed gratitude to the magazine for the recognition, describing it as a call to greater service.
“I am deeply humbled by this gesture and grateful to Almighty Allah for His grace and guidance,” he said.
“This honour strengthens my resolve to keep serving with humility, empathy, and commitment to nation-building, to continue striving for the greater good of our youth and our dear country.”
The visit ended with a presentation of the award and a photo session with members of the Global Watch Magazine team.
