The Kwara State branch of the Law Officers Association of Nigeria (LOAN) has commenced a three-day warning strike following the state government’s failure to address their demands contained in a 14-day ultimatum earlier issued.
In a statement released after an emergency meeting held on Friday, October 24, 2025, the Chairperson of the Association, Mrs. Medinat Adebisi, said the government did not respond to their letter of notice or make any move toward resolving the issues raised.
She explained that the ultimatum, which expired on October 24, 2025, was meant to give room for dialogue, but the government’s inaction left the Association with no option than to proceed with the warning strike.
Mrs. Adebisi reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to pursuing its legitimate demands through lawful means, noting that the three-day strike would commence on Monday, October 27, 2025.
The statement was jointly signed by Mrs. Medinat Adebisi, Chairperson, and Ms. Tolulope Oniyide, Secretary of the Association.
