2023: Hon Oyeyemi organizes Prayer for Gov Abdulrazaq, empowers 200 Petty Traders

The Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Mrs Florence Olasumbo Oyeyemi has on Saturday, dated 27th August, 2022 organized One Day Special Interdenominational Prayers for the successful re-election of Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s second term jointly with the empowerment program to 200 petty traders to help improve their small businesses and complement the effort and good work of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

This program took place in Oke-ero Local Government Secretariat, Iloffa, kwara state.

In an exclusive interview with the Honorable Commissioner of Finance, Mrs Florence Oyeyemi Olasumbo said Oke-ero Local Government is a united Local Government where Muslims and Christians interact peacefully, further that that’s why both religious elders were invited to pray for the success of His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

The Muslim prayers was led by the Chief Imam of Iloffa while the Christian elder also led the prayers of Christian and their entourage they both prayed for the success of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s administration and also for his re-election in the forthcoming election because of his outstanding work he has done in Oke-ero and Kwara state at large.

Hon Florence further in an interview appreciated Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for the inclusion of women in his government and for giving her the opportunity to exhibit her potentials and give back to society.

“Our government is committed to ensuring a better livelihood for all, this empowerment is not the first of its kind as many have come before this and also assured people of his Local Government of its continuity, added that the criteria for the selection are not based on being an APC member, that we randomly selected those benefitted from this empowerment to help develop their businesses,” she affirmed.

“I urge all the beneficiaries to channel the money into their businesses and assured those that are yet benefited to calm down as more of it are coming” she added.

In an interview with some of the beneficiaries, they all expressed how delighted and grateful they felt for the empowerment and promised to make use of the money properly.

“Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is a governor for the masses and we shall continue praying and appreciating him for all he has done to Oke-Ero Local Government, prayed may Hon Florence continue to do more of this empowerment,” they added.

In attendance are Mr Kayode Alabi, the Deputy Governor of Kwara State; Prince Sunday Fagbemi, Kwara State APC Chairman; Alh Misbahudeen Esirogunjo, CEO Altruism House; Hon Abolarin Gabriel and other high calibre people.
