Olarewaju Niniola, a passionate 14-year-old content creator, has taken a significant step forward in her career after participating in the recent Kwara Kre8 workshop held at the Ilorin Innovation Hub, Kwara state.

The workshop, championed by Kwara Kre8, a platform that sought to promote creative talents and help them sharpen their skills, in partnership with Kwara state Government, availed a milestone opportunity for young creators to enhance their skills and gain valuable resources.

Niniola, who began her content creation journey at the age of 13, shared her experiences of facing discouragement from others.
“I cannot count the number of people who told me I was too young to start,” she stated. “I want to impact the world through my words and voice, but many believe my age will affect my academics.”
During the workshop, Niniola posed a critical question about “How one can thrive in environments that prioritize academics and corporate jobs over creativity and entrepreneurship.
Her insightful inquiry therefore earned her an exclusive full scholarship and Creative equipment worth millions of naira, including a Sony A9 camera, Laptop, Lens, Lightning equipment, and an IPhone 13. Additionally, she was awarded a plot of land to establish her own personal creative hub.
Contributors to the endowment for Niniola included the Special Assistant on Visual Communications to the former Edo State Governor and Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP in 2023 – Ifeyinka Oludunsin, who gifted her a Sony A9 camera; Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy – Ayo Adeagbo, who provided her with a laptop and an iPhone 13; and popular Twitter influencer – Pamilerin Adegoke, who committed to providing her with lighting equipment and mentorship.
Additionally, Intellectual Property and Entertainment Lawyer Tope Salami Esq. offered her two years of free legal services, while Creative Lead at Phursuns World, Mr. Tobi Yeye, contributed a lens for her projects.
Managing Director of the Ilorin innovation Hub – Kolawole Temmy also on behalf of the state government promised her half a million and also free access to the innovation Hub. Gbenga Ibitoye Co-founder of Riparo_Ng also awarded Ninola a plot of land.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Niniola shed tears of joy upon receiving this life-changing opportunity.
At the event, Kwara state Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, represented by the Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bola Olukoju commended the organizers for the impactful collaboration with the government, highlighting that the program serves as an important platform for bringing together some of the finest creative minds.
“Our administration is proud to have developed the Sugar Factory Film Studio, designed as a production base for filmmakers, skit-makers, editors, and content developers across Nigeria,” he added.
“This facility is not just an investment in infrastructure; it is an investment in dreams, stories, and the global reach of Kwara-born creatives.”
In his remarks, the Creative Lead of Kwara Kre8, Adebisi Oyelere emphasized that creativity is not merely an art form but a significant contributor to Nigeria’s economy.
He expressed his appreciation for Governor AbdulRazaq’s investment in the creative industry to nurture young talents and commended the state government’s headline sponsorship of the Kwara Kre8 training.
Oyelere added that “Kwara Kre8 is not just a platform for showcasing innovation; it is dedicated to creating growth opportunities for content creators and entrepreneurs.
By supporting young talents like Niniola, Kwara Kre8 aims to foster a vibrant community of creators who can thrive in their passions.”
