Birthdays are not merely milestones marked on a calendar; they are moments of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the ideals and aspirations that define our journey. They offer an opportunity to assess the impact of yesterday, appreciate the realities of today, and prepare for the possibilities of tomorrow.
As Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu celebrates his 41st birthday, it is fitting to acknowledge a public servant whose leadership has become an integral part of Kwara State’s democratic and developmental story since 2019.
Serving as Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, he has demonstrated remarkable capacity, maturity, and dedication in steering one of the most important arms of government in support of good governance and sustainable development.
Since my “Ode to 39,” much has happened in the political and developmental landscape of our dear state under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The successes recorded across various sectors have been made possible through the collective efforts of many stakeholders, including the constructive partnership between the Executive and Legislative arms of government.
Under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, the Kwara State House of Assembly has continued to provide the legislative support required for effective governance through the passage of impactful bills, responsible oversight functions, healthy debates, and unwavering commitment to the interests of the people.
For many who have encountered him in public and private engagements, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu represents the values of humility, hard work, accessibility, and service. Beyond the office he occupies, he has consistently demonstrated an uncommon disposition toward people and public responsibility.
In over two decades of service within public administration, I have had the privilege of interacting with numerous leaders. Yet, few have combined humility and commitment to public service as effectively as the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly.
In no mean feat, I can vouch and attest to the fact that, Yes it is Eureka!!! Kwarans have hit Gold with the candidature and personality of Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu.
His candour, finesse and positive minded spirit is of high regard and needed to further Strengthen Kwara State as not just the Number one State in North-Central Nigeria but also position Kwara among the Big 5 States Economically in Nigeria.
As an individual, I am confident in his leadership and I have seized this moment of his Birth Anniversary to inform Kwarans of the Treasure we have landed in Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu.
Mr. Speaker, as you celebrate your 41st Birthday, I wish you above all things, success and Good Health and may the Almighty Allah further renew your outstanding commitment to public service and may Kwara State be better for it in the years ahead.
Indeed, God is Guiding us.
