The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara South has taken another significant step toward strengthening internal cohesion and consolidating its electoral strength ahead of the 2027 general elections, as the party’s Senatorial Candidate, Prince Olalekan Adewoye, held a high-level reconciliation meeting with the team of Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi (ENACT), one of the aspirants in the party’s senatorial primary.
The strategic engagement, held in an atmosphere of mutual respect, camaraderie, and shared commitment to the progress of the APC, underscored the determination of party leaders and stakeholders to close ranks and work collectively for victory in the forthcoming elections.
The meeting was moderated by Barr. Kayode Towoju, a leading member of Prince Adewoye’s team.
In his opening remarks, Barr. Towoju appreciated the ENACT team for demonstrating maturity, political responsibility, and unwavering commitment to the unity of the APC. He noted that the meeting built upon the successful reconciliation earlier held between Prince Adewoye and Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, during which the former aspirant wholeheartedly accepted the outcome of the party’s primary election.
According to him, Engr. Adeyemi had reaffirmed his readiness to support Prince Adewoye’s candidacy and work tirelessly to secure victory for all APC candidates across Kwara State in the 2027 elections.
Speaking on behalf of the ENACT delegation, Engr. Adebayo Alao Eleku congratulated Prince Adewoye on his emergence as the APC Senatorial Candidate, describing him as an accomplished philanthropist, grassroots mobilizer, and a worthy son of the Igbomina bloc whose emergence has generated widespread enthusiasm across the district.
He emphasized that members of the ENACT team remained fully committed to the directives of their principal, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, and consequently pledged their total support toward ensuring Prince Adewoye records a convincing victory at the general election.
Also speaking, Professor Bashir Olaitan, another prominent member of the ENACT team, reaffirmed the group’s loyalty to the party and its leadership. He assured that the team would faithfully implement the directives of Engr. Adeyemi by mobilizing support for Prince Adewoye as the duly elected and legitimate candidate of the APC.
Responding, Prince Olalekan Adewoye expressed profound appreciation to Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi and members of the ENACT family for what he described as an exceptional demonstration of statesmanship, loyalty, and political maturity.
He particularly commended Engr. Adeyemi for his conciliatory disposition immediately after the primary election, describing him as a committed party man and a bridge-builder whose actions have further strengthened the APC in Kwara South.
