The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, inaugurated a 9-member Health Facility Monitoring Committee on Monday at the Council Secretariat in Shaare. In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Abdulquadri Jimba
The committee is tasked with assessing the state of health facilities across the 18 wards of Ifelodun Local Government, ensuring these centers are fully functional and accessible to the community.
“The committee’s assignment is to identify all our health facilities, assess their functionality, and review ongoing programs such as the drug-revolving scheme,” he stated.
Hadji Femi Yusuf urged the committee to deliver a comprehensive report within three weeks.
Members of the committee include Hajia Fatima Salahuddeen, Deputy Director of Nursing at UITH Ilorin, as Chairman; Hon. Babatunde Akano Jamiu (Member), Alhaji Mustapha Abolaji (Member), Alhaji Raheem Sodik (Member), Alhaja Tayibat Sulieman (Member ), Hon. Dauda Ibikunle, former Supervisory Councillor on Health Development (Member), Hon. Ridwan Kadri (Member), Chief Razak A. Salami as Secretary and Alhaji Abdulwaheed Olatunji as Recording Secretary.
In her acceptance speech, Hajia Salahuddeen expressed commitment to the task, assuring the Chairman, Council Management, and the public of the committee’s dedication to producing a thorough, quality report. “Our priority is to provide a detailed, honest evaluation of each facility’s condition, staffing needs, and resource requirements. We will work diligently to identify areas for improvement with the goal of enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality for all residents,” Salahuddeen said.
