Hon Iliasu Ibrahim popularly known as “Alaanu Moro” is a grassroots politician, compassionate and a prolific party man to the core.

He was a two-term Kwara State House of Assembly member and a former Chief Whip between 2007 – 2015.

As a party man, Alhaji Iliasu has been at the forefront of the call to ensure the tenets of law-making are strictly adhered to. He has consistently stood for justice, equity and fairness among members and his entire community. He’s a brigade and convener for square pegs in a square hole when it comes to making leadership choices, ignoring cliche political disadvantages suffered by many of his protégées and instead elevating them with his mentorship.

Hon Iliasu has over the years demonstrated a visionary trait to discover a new Moro in Kwara North within the envelope of Kwara State which no one sees long ago and has used the same to predict the coming of Governor AbdulRasaq Abdulrahman in his forward and rational thinking ability to lay foundations for building a new Kwara whose building blocks were laid for imminent prosperity of our dear State.

Hon Iliasu has created groomed and nurtured witty, prolific and competent leaders in his enclave region of the Northern part of Kwara State and he has also achieved all this in an exemplary manner leading from the front and as a result, many will mistake him for the boss. Yet, those of us who know him well can attest to the fact that he’s a leader who perfects his followers and then turns around to follow their lead.
