He said “One of the major challenges, presently bedeviling our local government is the issue of insecurity, which has not only given our local government a bad name, it is completely alien to us. It has demarketed us and making commercial activities which is the backbone of our economy, comatose.

“We can’t shy away from the fact that nobody can shave our head behind us, it is not possible for this level of kidnapping and organised criminality to take root in our towns and villages without local enablers who are indigenes of the various communities.

“We’ll work hand in hand with all relevant stakeholders to rid our communities of criminalities, by fishing out all criminal saboteurs within our midst.

“I enjoin all community stakeholders to refuse to pamper or cover any bad eggs within us, we should push them all out to face the full wrath of the law, as their criminal conduct is not only against our tradition and culture, it is against the interest, development and aspirations of our people.
