Earlier today, at the Kwara State Ministry of Social Development in Ilorin, the Jibore Impeccable Foundation was presented with the Excellent Award by the National Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities (NAPWD) – Kwara State Chapter, during an event held in commemoration of the 2025 World Polio Day.

The recognition celebrates the foundation’s outstanding work in championing empowerment, development, and advocacy for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities in Kwara State.

In her acceptance remarks, Mrs. Joy Iyabo Bolarin, founder of the Jibore Foundation, expressed heartfelt gratitude: “I feel so good being honoured by my people; this is the first time I’m receiving an award from my own disability community, and I’m so happy for this.”

She added an inspiring message to her peers: “Whatever your disability is, it shouldn’t stop you from doing. Do it with all your mind and make sure you stand out, because there is ability in disability.”

Over the years, Mrs. Bolarin, through the Jibore Impeccable Foundation, has empowered numerous persons with disabilities through vocational and skill acquisition programs, as well as by providing educational scholarships to blind and deaf students.

Also honoured at the event were the Commissioner for Social Development, Hon. Nna Fatimmah, Hon. Bello Yunusa Oniboki, Member representing Afon Constituency, Asa LGA in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Abdulwahab Kayode Dalegan, among others.
