The event, organized by the Kwara State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Muka Aramide Eyiwumi, brought together families, children, youths, and adults for a day filled with fun, entertainment, and rewards.

Activities at the funfair included children’s games, dancing competitions for both men and women, musical performances, and comedy displays. Winners of the various children’s games went home with cash prizes and gift items, with the cash prizes presented by popular comedian Baba Kamo, who also thrilled the audience with rib-cracking comedy sessions throughout the event.

In the dancing competitions, participants in both the men’s and women’s categories were handsomely rewarded. Those who emerged first and second positions went home with big coolers, adding excitement and motivation to the contest. The event was further enlivened by musical performances from singer Atoyebi, whose songs kept the crowd energized and engaged.

Speaking with journalists at the event, the Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Muka Aramide Eyiwumi, expressed appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his consistent support for cultural and recreational activities in the state. He explained that the family funfair is part of the government’s tradition of organizing inclusive entertainment programmes during festive periods such as Ileya, Eid-el-Fitr, Christmas, and the New Year.

According to him, the initiative is the governor’s way of ensuring that residents enjoy moments of happiness and relaxation at no cost, regardless of their background. He added that people should expect more impactful and engaging programmes from his office in the coming months.

One of the highlights of the event was a heartfelt moment from a young girl who spoke on behalf of children in attendance.

The bold child appreciated the Kwara State Government for putting smiles on their faces and offered prayers for the governor, thanking him for his kindness and love for children.
