Yesterday, 27th of December 2025, Mohammed Funsho Abdullahi (MFA) Support Forum was formally launched at PADA Hall, Pakata Area Development Association, Ilorin. The forum, convened by passionate supporters of Hon. Mallam Muhammed Funsho Abdullahi, was set up by people who believe in his leadership style and vision to extend the benefits of national and state innovation agendas.

The event was designed not only to rally support for leadership initiatives but to deepen the impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s people-centric development vision by fostering empowerment platforms that ensure ordinary citizens benefit more directly from government and private interventions.

Speaking during the occasion, Abdullahi traced his motivation for establishing the forum to his belief that Nigeria’s youth must be equipped with opportunities to thrive economically. He underscored his commitment to pushing forward the twin ideals of political inclusivity and practical empowerment.

According to him, the forum was born out of a desire to complement existing government efforts and inspire a generation of young leaders and innovators.
“We are here because we believe in transformational leadership leadership that listens, engages, and delivers for the people,” Abdullahi said.

“This forum is brought together by people who are committed to supporting initiatives that echo what President Tinubu is doing at the national level and what Governor AbdulRazaq has continued to deliver at the state level. We want to ensure that ordinary citizens can tap into opportunities that uplift their lives,” he added.

He also addressed concerns from educators and stakeholders regarding the use of laptops awarded to students by previous programmes, encouraging teachers not to confiscate the devices but to allow pupils to use them meaningfully. “These tools are meant to aid learning; schools should support students to benefit fully from them and not hinder their progress,” Abdullahi urged.
The programme featured various empowerment activities, including the MFA Primary Schools Knowledge Championship Debate, where pupils from public schools around Ilorin showcased intellect and creativity. Winners walked away with laptops and cash prizes, while others received consolation awards to encourage continued excellence.
Abdullahi described the debate initiative as one that would support other efforts such as KwaraLearn and similar educational innovation drives backed by the state government’s education reforms saying it was his hope that such collaborations would expand learning opportunities for young people.
The event saw a strong turnout of dignitaries, community leaders, and party stakeholders, underscoring broad support for the forum’s objectives. Among those in attendance were Hon. AbdulRahman Babatunde Ladan, Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government; Dr. (Hon.) Tejidini Abdulwasiu Olayinka, General Manager of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP); and Hon. Zubair Aliyu Rogun, APC Zonal Youth Leader (North Central geopolitical zone), Hon. Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe; Hon. Kayode Ishola (K-Baba), Special Assistant to His Excellency on Digital Innovation, Alhaji (Dr.)
Mohammed Ghali Alaaya; Hon. Prudent Yakub Babatunde, Senior Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Youth Development on Public Sector Matters; Hon.
Mariam Yusuf Aladi, Deputy Chief Whip, Kwara State House of Assembly; Hon. Lekan Gadaff among others.
The programme exemplified a blend of political solidarity, educational advocacy, and community empowerment, reflecting Abdullahi’s pledge to use his platform to mobilise resources and ideas that directly benefit ordinary citizens while strengthening support for progress-oriented leadership across governance levels.
