The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has received commendations from community leaders (Baales) in Ebamiyo community for his proactive efforts in ensuring security across the district during their monthly meeting on Saturday. Ebamiyo, comprising Igbaja Ward II and Igbaja Ward III in Ifelodun Local Government, according to speakers Ebamiyo has witnessed significant improvements in safety under the Chairman’s administration.
The Baale of Ibare, who also serves as the Chairman of the Baales in Ebamiyo, Alhaji Adelodun Ibrahim Jamiu, praised Hadji Femi Yusuf’s dedication to security since his inauguration. “We appreciate your efforts in ensuring we live comfortably in our ancestral home. Now, we can sleep with our eyes closed,” he remarked.
He added, “The Chairman has started on a strong note, providing us with adequate security and prioritizing our well-being. We will continue to support him to ensure his administration succeeds.”
In his remarks, Hon. AGF Salahuddeen, the member representing Omupo Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, also expressed his appreciation for the Baales’ unwavering support for the development of their communities. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the state government and the local government to uproot wrongdoers from the area, ensuring lasting peace and security.
The Chairman, Hadji Femi Yusuf reassured the community leaders of his administration’s commitment to maintaining stability, stressing that it is the government’s responsibility to protect all citizens. “We have been doing our best in terms of security, but we need your continuous support. Timely communication about any security issues in your communities will help our security personnel respond effectively,” he noted.
Speaking on his plans to leverage on Agriculture to turn around the local government, stressing that his plans to boost agriculture in Ifelodun, which is one of the state’s food baskets. “We are working towards getting more tractors in addition to those provided by the state government, to improve farming. This will not only ensure food surplus but also boost our local economy.”

Garba Jimoh Abubakar; Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Chief Ademola Zubair; Councilor representing Igbaja II, Hon. Oladipo Muideen; Councilor representing Igbaja III, Hon. Ridwan Olomowewe, and Hon. Abdullahi Awayewaserere.
