A frontline aspirant for the Share/Oke-Ode State Constituency seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdulrasheed Akogun, has officially submitted his completed nomination form, signaling a major step in his 2027 political ambition.
Akogun, popularly known as Omo Akogun, described the development as a defining moment in a political journey built on service, sacrifice, consultations, and commitment to the people of the constituency.

Speaking shortly after the submission of the form, the aspirant stated that his ambition is driven by a genuine desire to provide purposeful and proactive representation for the people of Share/Oke-Ode Constituency, rather than personal gain or political recognition.

According to him, the constituency deserves a representative who understands the realities confronting the people and possesses the capacity to respond effectively to their needs.
He noted that the 10 wards and over 250 communities within the constituency continue to yearn for quality representation that is accessible, responsive, courageous, and result-oriented, particularly in the areas of youth empowerment, education, infrastructure, economic development, and social inclusion.
Akogun further emphasized that the challenges facing the constituency require experience, strategic engagement, strong networks, and consistent consultations with the people.
The aspirant disclosed that he has spent the last five years engaging communities across the constituency, listening to the concerns of residents, and identifying pathways for meaningful development.
He expressed confidence that the 2027 elections present an opportunity for the constituency to embrace a new era of purposeful representation anchored on integrity, competence, accountability, and inclusiveness.
As part of efforts to deepen consultations and mobilize grassroots support, Akogun is also expected to commence a ward tour across the constituency in the coming days.
He called on party members, stakeholders, and constituents to support his aspiration, assuring them of responsible and people-oriented representation if elected into office.
