Retired Customs Officer Alhaji Yakub Amasa Yusuf has officially declared his intention to contest for the Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, reaffirming his commitment to effective and people-oriented representation.

Speaking during an interview shortly after his declaration at APC state party Secretariat Ilorin, Alhaji Yakub Amasa Yusuf expressed strong confidence in his ability to deliver quality leadership, stating that his wealth of experience in public service has adequately prepared him for the task ahead.

“I am fully prepared and well-positioned for this responsibility. I understand the needs of our people, and I am committed to providing purposeful representation that will bring meaningful development to Ilorin West and Asa,” he said.

He emphasized that his candidacy is driven by a genuine desire to serve, promising to prioritize youth empowerment, infrastructural development, economic growth, and improved welfare for constituents. He further assured the people of transparency, accessibility, and accountability in his leadership if elected.
