The DIYO Support Group has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe as Chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Governing Council.
The group also praised Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for facilitating the appointment.
At a press conference held in Ilorin on Wednesday, the group’s spokeperson Engr. Jimoh Ajani, described the appointment as a significant milestone in Nigeria’s journey towards improved healthcare and governance.
“We are thrilled to see Sen. Oloriegbe, a renowned healthcare expert, take the helm of the NHIA Governing Council,” Ajani stated.
Ajani praised President Tinubu for recognizing Sen. Oloriegbe’s exceptional qualifications and expertise in the healthcare sector, accumulated over three decades of medical practice and legislative advocacy.
“Sen. Oloriegbe’s wealth of experience in healthcare policy and administration makes him an ideal candidate for this position.”
The group acknowledged Governor AbdulRazaq’s role in facilitating the appointment, highlighting his commitment to healthcare reform and development in the state.
“We appreciate the Governor’s unwavering support for Sen. Oloriegbe’s appointment,” Ajani said.
Sen. Oloriegbe’s credentials, including his experience as a medical practitioner, legislator, and health policy expert, make him an ideal candidate for the position.
“Sen. Oloriegbe has demonstrated his commitment to healthcare reform through his legislative advocacy and policy initiatives,” Ajani observed.
The DIYO Support Group pledged to mobilize grassroots support for NHIA initiatives and provide feedback mechanisms to enhance service delivery.
