Eluku Omo Adugbo: Resorting To Blackmail Instead Of Facts

Get more connected to the real facts

By Owodunni Rasheed Adekunle

It is shameful, though not surprising, that instead of addressing issues raised with facts and clarity, Eluku Omo Adugbo has once again resorted to his notorious weapon of choice – blackmail. This has always been his cowardly way of responding to truth.

In his latest desperate attempt, he chose to hide behind a non-existent name, “Ridwan Ajanku.” That alone is enough proof that even he is not proud of his own ugly ways of life. Hiding behind faceless identities is his hallmark, and Offa people are no longer deceived.

In his usual style of peddling lies, he falsely claimed the existence of a School of Nursing and Midwifery in Offa and shamelessly listed the Federal Polytechnic Offa as an “achievement” of his failed leader.

Yes, it is true that his failed leader upgraded the School of Health Technology in Offa, but the reality is that by 2019 when this government came on board, the institution had been reduced to nothing more than a glorified secondary school. It took the fresh breath of Otoge for that same school to be fully empowered, revitalized, and repositioned to fulfill its mandate.

If Eluku expects Offa to keep worshipping Dr. Bukola Saraki merely for that upgrade, then what should Offa do for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the visionary leader who approved, awarded, and mobilized contractors for the complete redesign and reconstruction of the Offa Township Stadium for sports and youth development?

Interestingly, Eluku Omo Adugbo admitted that I once worked as a “data boy” before rising to become the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Oyun Local Government. He thought this was an insult, but in reality, it is a testimony of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s youth empowerment model – a model now being copied by all 16 local governments in Kwara.

Unlike his failed leader who used young people for thuggery, violence, and destruction – a dark era Kwara will never forget – AbdulRazaq’s leadership is producing young men and women who are rising through hard work and merit.

This is the difference Eluku can never understand: how a son of nobody can rise to become something without being humiliated under surching sun and rain in show of loyalty to a godfather. That is why he is bitter. That is why he is restless.

But Offa people know him too well. They know his dubious pattern of laundering people’s image through fake names and faceless characters. And they are ready to give him another humiliating defeat in 2027.

This time, he won’t even survive the primaries because his grassroots party members are determined to stop him once and for all.

Eluku Omo Adugbo’s illusion that constant attacks on the state government will give him relevance is nothing but a waste of time. His failed politics of blackmail has expired. Offa has moved on, Kwara has moved on, and his desperate cry for attention will not save him from political irrelevance.

Owodunni Rasheed Adekunle is the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Oyun Local Government.
