The ancient town of Patigi came alive with celebration as Umar Ibrahim Bologi II, the Etsu Patigi and Vice Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, conferred the revered title of Baa’go of Patigi Emirate on Yakubu Danladi-Salihu during the grand Nko Salah Festival.

The conferment ceremony, attended by royal fathers, political associates, and hundreds of well-wishers, highlighted the importance of tradition, unity, and service to the people. The title is regarded as one of honour and responsibility within the Patigi Emirate.

Speaking shortly after receiving the honour, the Speaker thanked the emirate council and the people of Patigi for finding him worthy of the title, describing the recognition as a call to greater service and dedication to humanity.

The annual festival once again showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Patigi Emirate, drawing guests from different parts of Kwara State and beyond.
