February2023: JCI-BUK inaugurates new excos, holds 34th Investiture Tagged: Creating A Business Minded Youth

Saturday 18th February 2023, the Junior Chamber International of Nigeria (BUK Chapter) held its 33rd Convention and 34th Investiture in Micheal Mortimo Hall, Faculty of Earth and Environmental Science, Bayero University Kano.

The program started exactly at 10 am with Red Carpet, and the main event was followed by 11 am with a theme tagged: “Creating A Business-Minded Youth” which the National Anthem and JCI Creed were recited and also followed by the recognition of special guests.

Thereafter, the opening remark was done by JC Hafsur Aramide, the immediate past president who appreciates the high calibre people and other attendees. The association proceeded to the game session to get the mood of the guest speakers and other audiences changed.

The association, therefore, moved to the panel session by introducing the great business-minded speakers; Muhammad Maihoto, Founder Maihoto Concept, Nurudeen Issa, CEO/Founder Sirius X, Mustapha Saleh Yeyya Esq, 2019 JCIN BUK GLC and Abdulmajid Abubakar, Founder/Project coordinator of eyea on the environment initiative which the Guest Speaker is Muhammed Maitano, Bayero University Kano.

The product display was not left out where the business owners within the school environment were allowed to display their products to the populace.

Thereafter, the certificates were presented to the outgoing JCI executives and the investiture program commenced which was followed by the swearing-in of the newly elected position namely JC Abdullahi Amira as 2023 Local Organisation President, JC Adesoye Omowumi Zainab as Executive Vice President and JC Abubakr Abubakr as Vice President.

However, the appointment letters were given to the appointed Board of Directors and a series of certificates were also presented to the outstanding members of JCI such as Active JC, Supportive JC and others.

The Newly Elected 2023 Local Organisation President, JC Abdullahi Amira gave the closing remarks and the investiture program came to an end by 2:30 pm.

After all, the association held a party called “After Party” where JCI outgoing executives, newly elected executives, appointed BODs and other members gladly dine and wine together which started at 6 pm and ended at 10 pm.

On Monday, dated 20th February 2023, the JCI executives had a Google Meet meeting with the newly appointed Board of Directors where the roles of each director were dished out to them, added with the strategies and styles needed to move the association to a greater height.
