The Ilorin Emirate For Unity and Development Initiative IEUDI has felicitated with The Emir of Ilorin, Maimartaba Alh Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, has reached a remarkable milestone of 29 years on the throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin Emirate.

IEUDI through the National President Alh Moshood Salau and the National Secretary Hon AbdulSalam Abdullahi AbdulRauph describes His reign has been a transformative period for the emirate, marked by tremendous development, peace, and harmony among the people.

Under his leadership, Ilorin has witnessed the emergence of numerous educational institutions, including Kwara State University, Malete, Al-Ikma University, and Sheikh Kamaldeen University. Including several Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Health Technologies.

The emirate has also become a hub for business and investment, with many companies setting up shop in the community. His reign has been characterized by religious harmony and peaceful coexistence among the multi ethnicity people living in Ilorin.

The Emir has played a crucial role in preserving the cultural heritage of Ilorin, promoting Islamic values and traditions. His expertise as a retired Chief Judge has helped resolve chieftaincy and land disputes, promoting stability in the emirate.

Under his watch as the 11th Emir of Ilorin, three illustrious sons of Ilorin Emirate have also gone on to become executive governors of Kwara State between 1999 to date. This is a testament to the Emir’s leadership and vision.
