The Kwara North Development Council (KWANDCO) has hailed the appointment of Mohammed Mohammed an indegine of Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State as the new Director General of the Nigerian Intelligence Agency.

A statement by the leadership of KWANDCO commended the decision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the choice of the new DG, describing the appointment of Mohammed as a square peg in a square hole, considering his impeccable antecedents having had his entire career at the NIA in various capacities.

While wishing him God guidance and wisdom as he assumed his new but herculean task, KWANDCO is confident that the new Director General of NIA will bring his wealth of professional experience and skills to bear in repositioning the NIA towards addressing the current national and cross-boarder security challenges.
