As the tenure of the current State and Local Government Executives draws near, the All Progressive Youth Forum (APYF) Kwara state chapter will between now and May 2023 conduct elections to usher in new state and local governments executives.

The election for local government executives which is to be conducted within the next three weeks by the various LGAs electoral committees and to be closely monitored by the respective current APYF Senatorial Coordinators will have prospective candidates vying for the following positions; Local Government Coordinator Secretary General, Director of Media and Publicity, Director Women Affairs, Treasurer, Organising Secretary and Director Research and Strategy.

The elected local government executives will further serve as delegates to elect the state Executives with the following positions opened for contest; State Coordinator, Deputy State Coordinator, Secretary General, Assistant Secretary General, Director Media and Publicity and Assistant Director Media and Publicity.

Others positions include; Director Research and Strategy, Director Legal Matters, Director Students Affairs, Director Budget and Planning, Director Women Affairs, Organizing Secretary, Treasurer, Kwara Central Senatorial Coordinator, Kwara North Senatorial Coordinator and Kwara South Senatorial Coordinator.

While the current Executives have the opportunity to recontest for their present or other positions, it should be noted that the positions of the State Coordinator, Deputy State Coordinator and Secretary General are specifically zoned to Kwara North, Kwara South and Kwara Central respectively, others will be fairly distributed across the three senatorial districts based the competency and capability of the prospective candidates for the election which will be conducted by a five-man Electoral Committee.
