I heartily congratulate my fellow compatriots on the silver jubilee anniversary of unbroken Democracy in our motherland, indeed it’s a milestone that is worth celebrating. I acknowledge the sacrifices of our heroes past, those who worked for the enshrinement of Democracy. Democracy in Nigeria has come to stay, it has come of age and together with the critical stakeholders, we will continue to protect it. As lawmakers at the democratic institution, we will continue to strengthen and deepen civil rule to ensure that the dividends of democracy get to every Nigerian. On this day, I wish us all happy Democracy Day!
