The National Association of Kwara State Students, NAKSS National Headquarters has urged Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to stop intimidating and separating the students organization.
NAKSS President, Comrade Wokili Abdullahi discussed this during a press conference in Ilorin.
This was contained in a part of statement reads:
“I bring to the hears of patriotic people of Kwara State, a solidarity greetings on behalf of the entire students of the state, studying home and abroad. I’m Comrade Abdullahi Abdulqodir Wokili, the National President of NAKSS NHQ. We converge here today, few minutes after our Congress to address a press conference to reaffirm and reiterate our initial stand as stated in our earlier press conference that it’s the unanimous decision of the leadership of National Association of Kwara State Students NAKSS NHQ to pass a vote of no confidence on the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the executive Governor of Kwara State.
PREAMBLE
In line with the Constitution of our great association, The Congress of NAKSS NHQ is one the greatest Organ of the organization which supercede the constitution and the highest decision making.
OBSERVATION AND DEMANDS
We noticed that Kwara State Government through some retrogressive aids are intimidating some of our members as a result on our stand that Kwara must be great, and has compel and sponsored a press conference as address by the Vice President of NAKSS under duress aim at dividing our one united organization.
All we demand from Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq are transparency, accountability and good governance.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq should tell Kwarans how much he has borrow! What has he done with the funds borrowed and how he intend to repay those loans.
We demand enough subvention to our tertiary institutions and a conducive academic environment for all students.
We demand that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq should tell us how much was approved for our bursary and how many students benefited.
RESOLUTIONS
The Congress confirm a Vote of No confidence pass on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and urge him to desist from dividing our organization.
The Congress declared Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq unfit and not qualified to be reelected into the office for second term.
In a bid to change the course of our state for good and prosperity, the Congress has constituted a 3 man committee headed by Comr. Alawaye Musbau to critically observe and recommend a competent gubernatorial candidate for NAKSS to support.
The Congress further constituted two different committees on Students Safety and Enlightenment against Electoral Violence to be headed by Comr. Aminu Wahab and Committee on the Probe of 2022 Bursary Disbursement to occur headed by Comrade Danladi Mohammed.
Conclusively, we wish to confirm it to the general public that NAKSS remain one united body against the wish of some retrogressive element in government who has been making an attempt to divide our noble organization. We call on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as well to call his aids to order as NAKSS may not longer condone any act of intruder in our organization anymore.
On a final note, I want to specially implore all Kwara State students, youths and youngsters alike to be of good conduct always and desist to being employed by politicians to perpetrate violence during elections.
