To understand the development plan of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in Kwara State, one must possess a mind that comprehends the tenets of development administration. Development administration concerns projects, programs, policies, and ideas that focus on the development of a nation, with a view to the socio-economic and socio-political advancement of society in general, executed by talented and skilled personnel.
The current Governor of Kwara State has strategically implemented numerous developmental projects that cut across the entire state, leaving no area without a meaningful project. He has identified areas of developmental plans and executed short, medium and long-term projects, with each project interconnected for the overall development of the state.
It is a fact that Kwara State was created in 1967, yet the state still struggles to harness its rich socio-economic potential for the benefit of its people. This is why Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has decided to invest in projects that would stand the test of time and turn the economic fortunes of Kwara State around.
Sadly, people devote much energy to argumentative, authoritative, parochialism, and hierarchy in governance, leaving constructive administrative development thoughts and actions behind, to the detriment of the masses. This has led to the myopic sightedness of some individuals and self-acclaimed political analysts who fail to see what Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is doing to transform the economy of Kwara.
Some of the long-term projects that would improve the level of revenue generation of the state include the Garments Factory, Sugar Film Factory, Visual Art Center, Ilorin Innovation Hub, International Conference Center, and the ongoing upgrade of Kwara Hotel to a five-star hotel.
