The campaign organisation of Prince Lekan Adewoye has dismissed reports claiming that the APC Kwara South Senatorial aspirant has stepped down from the ongoing primary race.
In a statement issued by the Media Directorate of the Prince Olalekan Adewoye Organisation, the camp described the rumour as false, misleading, and the handiwork of individuals allegedly unsettled by the growing support and momentum surrounding the aspiration across Kwara South.
The statement categorically maintained that Prince Adewoye remains fully in the race and committed to contesting the senatorial primary election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
According to the organisation, the aspirant continues to enjoy strong support from stakeholders, party faithful, youths, women groups, and grassroots communities across the senatorial district.
The media team further stated that there has been no withdrawal, no step-down arrangement, and no negotiation contrary to the interest and aspirations of supporters backing his ambition.
The statement noted that Prince Adewoye remains focused, confident, and committed to the democratic process and the progressive ideals of the APC.
Supporters and party members were therefore urged to disregard the rumour and remain focused on the ongoing primary election process.
“The growing momentum cannot be distracted. The mission remains alive. Kwara South deserves purposeful representation,” the statement added.
The statement was signed by Babatunde Opoola on behalf of the Media Directorate of the Prince Olalekan Adewoye Organisation.
