In the heart of Nigeria’s North Central region lies Kwara State—a land rich in history, diversity, and untapped potential.
And in recent years, one man has emerged as a transformative force, reshaping its destiny with vision, integrity, and a relentless drive for development: Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, fondly hailed as the Sardauna Ngeri—the pride and pillar of modern Kwara.
From the moment he assumed office in 2019, Governor AbdulRazaq made it clear that his mission was not politics as usual. With a calm demeanor and a technocratic approach, he swiftly got to work dismantling decades of decay and institutional neglect.
Roads that had become death traps were rebuilt. Dilapidated schools got a facelift. Hospitals were equipped and staffed. The silent revolution had begun.
Under his leadership, Kwara has become a hub for innovation in governance and public accountability.
The KwaraLEARN initiative is a standout example—bringing digital learning tools to classrooms across the state and empowering teachers with modern techniques.
The results have been immediate and promising: student performance is on the rise, and teachers feel more valued and effective.
In agriculture, the governor launched the Kwara Agric Transformation Plan, aiming to turn the state into a major food basket and agribusiness hub. Thousands of farmers have been supported with inputs, training, and access to markets.
But perhaps what endears him most to the people is his humility and accessibility. Governor AbdulRazaq is often seen walking among the people, listening, engaging, and responding—not with empty promises, but with visible action. His style of leadership is one of quiet impact, not loud rhetoric.
The title Sardauna Ngeri—a symbolic echo of the great Sardauna of Sokoto—captures the public’s sentiment: a leader who serves, not rules; who builds, not boasts. In just a few years, he has laid the foundation for a new Kwara—cleaner, smarter, fairer, and more prosperous.
As Kwara continues its transformation journey, history will remember AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq not just as a governor, but as the true Architect of Modern Kwara.
